Anna Skorut

Anna Skorut was born in Szczecin, Poland on the 16th. of November 1977. She studied art, graphic and interior design at the University of Applied Arts in Szczecin, Poland and graduated in 2002 as a Master of Art and Interior Design.

Anna had shown an interest in art at an early age and during her studies at university she was already receiving some commissions. Immediately after graduating from her studies, Anna started earning a living from commissions that she received both from private firms and individuals residing both in Poland and in Germany.

During the time spent at university Anna learnt about various techniques which she combined creatively and which, through the years, helped her evolve her authentic style. The main media Anna uses is acrylic and her most evident style is abstract with a shadow of realism. Other characteristics in Anna’s technique and style are the evident spontaneity in her choice of and play with colours and simple forms. She also likes to create a connection between some of her paintings and that is why some themes she portrays are not depicted on one singular canvas. She likes art which leads people to experience different levels of interpretation.

Her specialty is commission paintings by individual orders. In the past she made a lot of commission for private companies, architecture offices, real estate agents, lawyer’s chambers and banks, both in Poland and abroad, like Malta, Germany, Costa Rica.
